Our founder, Ellie Triemert, developed a passion for an aging population in need of 24-hour care beyond the normal nursing home. Her vision was to create a compassionate living environment with breathtaking surroundings and the feel of home. The result is Afton Care Senior Homes.
Our History
Originally open more than a decade ago, Afton Care started with the idea to provide the best senior living had to offer. With large, spacious living areas, and a quiet small town setting, Afton Care has been the home for many people seeking to enjoy the comforts of growing old. Known now as Afton Care West, the original location still serves as a model for the absolute best in senior care.
Built in 2004, Afton Care St. Croix has over 7,200 square feet of living space along with living suites over 525 square feet in size. Located in the heart of the St. Croix Valley, Afton Care St. Croix has become host to a multitude of holiday events and special ocassions. Afton Care St. Croix also features beautiful fenced in patios and spacious common areas.

Afton Care Senior Homes is comprised of two unique locations located in the St. Croix Valley. An alternative to nursing home care, Afton Care Senior Homes promotes health and wellness by carefully choosing and training each of our caregivers to deliver knowlegeable care with confidence.
